TAHAROA DOMAIN CAMP RULES
Dogs No dogs allowed under any circumstance
Noise No noise after 10.30pm. This includes radios and musical instruments.
Firearms No firearms of any type, this includes air guns
Fires No fires to be lit on the ground (this includes braziers)
Washing No washing of clothing of any sort in the lakes
Waste All SOLID waste and rubbish to be wrapped and placed
in bins. All LIQUID waste is to be disposed of in water sumps
Drainage Trenches to be dug if necessary and must be filled in later
Flora All plant life in the Domain is protected
Hours Gates will be locked at 9.30pm and re open at 7.30am
Generators/ Permission must be requested and only in special
Marquees circumstances will these be allowed.
IMPORTANT
- Bookings are made per person not per campsite
- You are required to make a booking at all times
- Payment is required in FULL within 14 days of making a booking or if your intended stay is within this 14 day period, payment will be required at the time of booking.
- Please check in at the lakes office upon arrival and present your receipt to the caretaker.
- There will be no refunds issued for any part of your stay including changes or amendments to numbers, early departures or non arrival.
Promenade Point (100 People)
- Long Drop Toilets
- Fresh Drinking Water
- No electricity or kitchen facilities
Pine Beach (400 people)
- Cold water showers
- Flush Toilets
- No electricity or kitchen facilities
- Small shop on site - bread, milk, takeways, ice etc(open from Christmas)
Fees
$10.00 Per adult per night (15 years plus)
$5.00 Per child per night (3-14 years)
No Charge Children under 3 years
$3.00 Booking fee per person
CHANGE OF POLICY REGARDING REFUNDS:
Please note our change of policy regarding refunds. Reservations at the Kai Iwi lakes are booked on the understanding that there will be no refunds issued for any part of your stay. This includes change of numbers, early departures or non arrival.
Date changes only for the same season are permissible subject to availability and with seven days notice.
In order to confirm your booking, payment in full is required within 14 days of making your reservation. If your intended stay is within this 14 day period, payment will be required at the time of your reservation. Bookings not prepaid are not confirmed.
