The Dargaville surrounds abounds with great outdoor activities.  There are a wide range of parks, beaches, reserves and walking tracks that cater for all abilities. There are parks and reserves great for the family for short and leisurely walks and longer walking tracks for the more adventurous, some of which are more suitable for the more experienced hikers. The walks take in a variety of breathtaking, unspoiled scenery, including native forest, farmland, coastal and hill country.
