Des Cotman in Marina Gallery and Alex McPherson in Gallery 185 are settling in very well to their new positions. I'm appearing in both galleries each week at present, but shortly both Tom and I will be AWOL over the 'ditch'. (Sylvienne) We are sure both these talented and capable people will be able to assist you well!
WHERE TO PARK for our Auckland location? Gallery 185 is located right opposite Condrens 'Pay and Display' Car Park at the top of Symonds Street. A very handy pedestrian crossing close by. The park can only be entered if you are approaching from lower Symonds Street towards Khyber Pass.
PRICES:- MANY PRICES QUOTED ON ARTISTS' PAGES ARE IN US DOLLARS and might be approximate only. YOU WILL NEED TO CONVERT THESE TO YOUR COUNTRY'S CURRENCY. With our fluctuating $$$ the prices on all pieces might not be exactly up to date. We will confirm the prices for you in NZ$ via email or on the phone. I am slowly updating all prices to NZ. Thank you for your patience.
INTRODUCING!Bryce Brown: Check out this artist's new page on our site. We host his first Auckland exhibition commencing March 9! I can promise some wonderful paintings. I have uploaded all of his exhibition works on to this site in case you want us to put a red sticker on a special find for you. Three are sold already! Following Bryce's exhibition we will host one for Maurice Brookes and then get ready for some entertaining and challenging work by international constructionist, Edward Mackenzie!. Both these artists are established with a strong following and Maurice has a page on our site.
Very shortly we expect to introduce a new New Zealander just arrived from Eastern Russia. Alexander Efimov is an eminent sculptor - He has landed but his bronzes are still on their way. Alexander was invited to take part in the 'Biennale Internazionale Dell'Arte Contemporanea' to be held in Florence during December 2001. This tells us much about the respect he has on the global visual arts scene. We will all enjoy yet more international flavour in our galleries!
NEWSFLASH! Marina Gallery has received more wonderful canvases from DOUGLAS BADCOCK. This artist just goes from STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. As yet unframed we have them safely in a drawer - please ask if you are interested in viewing them.
MCCLELLAND GALLERIES can certainly provide YOUR ULTIMATE DECOR STATEMENT!
